Books I Plan to Read August 9-15 and last week's results

Happy weekend to all,

The weather here is hot and quite confused. Some days there were torrential downpours, nasty thunderstorms, and then the sun would come out. Humidity and heat were fairly consistent. I did some volunteer work this week which kind of messed up my reading time but kept me inside, away from the heat. I can say that I made enough headway with packing that I felt decent about the progress. I do hope to get closer to finished by the end of this week.

As to my reading for the past week, I did not quite finish the audiobook Fractured Games nor did I complete the Redeeming Bolt/Nicoletta duet, so the plan will be to finish them this week.

Last week's results:

Ebooks:

Twin Flames by Beth D. Carter - 5 stars

Dad Bod Cowboy by Kat Baxter - 4 1/2 stars

Their Forbidden Storm by Christina Diane - 5 stars

The Gunslinger by Sarah Lamb - 5 stars

The Seance Garden by Juliet Blackwell - 5 stars

I squeaked in a quick story - Spells, Seances and Sordid Sorcery by Amelia Morgan - 4 stars

Books for August 9-15:

Ebooks:

(finish) Redeeming Bolt/Nicoletta by Barbara Nolan

Audiobooks:

(finish) Fractured Games by Simran

I hope to have a successful week with reading and packing (which is when I get in most of my audiobook listening). The reading is my relaxation time so that I do not lose my mind altogether. Take the time to enjoy each day, despite cloudy days or sweltering sunny ones. I will be back next Saturday.

Books I Plan on Reading August 2-8 and last week's results

Good evening/good day to everyone,

I hope your week has been a good one. Did you take the time to relax? Go on a vacation? Summer is half over, and it is moving quickly still. The weather was fairly steady this week, temperatures in the 70's and 80's for the most part with the sun playing peek-a-boo most days.

This past week, I did manage to complete my reading, only just, by finishing up one book and one audiobook today. Packing up my house in preparation to moving is taking up a fair amount of my time. I seem to be getting there. Fingers crossed.

Last week's results -

Ebooks:

Property of Hayride by Nikki Landis - 5 stars

Death's Prescription by Jeffrey Marti - 4 1/2 stars

The Plus-One Pact by Suzy Langevin - 4 stars

Pride Comes Before a Fall by Virginia Heath - 4 1/2 stars

Audiobooks:

I've Got a Crush on You by Lauren Blakely - 5 stars

Killer Candy Corn by Amelia Pine - 4 1/2 stars

Planned Reading for August 2-8:

Ebooks:

Audiobook:

Most of the ebooks should be quick reads, and I am looking forward to reading them.

Enjoy the second half of the summer. Make sure to relax, keep yourself centered, and smell the flowers as you go.

Until next week,

Hello to everyone,

I hope you are all healthy and staying cool and safe from wildfires. We should pray for those living near them, fighting them, and all the animals losing their habitats. This week, I did a little crafting (I love diamond art), a lot of reading, and packing despite having a bit of a stomach issue.

First up, last week's results and I did make it through all that I planned:

Books I Plan to Read July 19-25 and last week's results

Greetings to all,

How was your week? Hot, wet, cool? It has been quite a mix here. Low 70's up into the 90's with mostly cloudy days. Today, especially, there have been severe thunderstorms, torrential downpours, and the occasional sunny moment.

It was an on/off week for me energy wise. I did get in a good amount of reading/listening time, but I did not get enough packing time in. I will get there.

Now to the results:

Ebooks:

Romance at Ridgeford Hall by Kate Ellington - 4 stars

The Darker the Night by Brandon Barrows - 5 stars

Rain or Shine by E.C. Land - 5 stars

A Lady Never Concedes by Bronwen Evans - 4 stars

Audiobook:

Grumpily Yours by Teagan Hunter - 4 1/2 stars

Planned Reading for July 19-25:

Ebooks:

Audiobook:

Well, this is my list for the coming week. I hope to get through it and a lot more time in on packing up the house. I would like the weather to even out a little bit so that I could also get in a little walking and fresh air.

Have a good week. Get in a little reading and relaxation.

Slan (goodbye in Scottish and Irish Gaelic)

Books I Plan to Read July 12-18 and last week's result

Hello to everyone,

I hope you all are safe and the weather is not too hot or wet. Here it has been mostly in the 80's and 90's, cloudy with some rain. We did have one day that went from 80's to 60's, but it was very wet. I had been trying to get out and take a short stroll at least 2 times a week, but not for the last couple weeks.

It seems like I read constantly, but I only read between 2-4 hours a day. I saw a movie in a theatre (Minions and Monsters). So I have plenty of time to pack up my house, yet relax so that I do not stress myself out too much. On with the results. I did a better job this week, considering I gave myself quite the list.

Ebooks:

Rescued by the Marquess by Bronwen Evans - 5 stars

Murder Under the Static Signal by Olivia Crowe - 4 stars

Pies, Lies & Alibis by Sylvie Brooks - 4 stars

The Tales of Sidney and JoJo by Lauren Isaacson - 5 stars

Nana Claus and the Thank-You Notes by Kelly Reddin - 5 stars

Death and the Social Climber by Winnie Simpson - 5 stars

A Pinch of Assault by Misty Simon - 5 stars

Shady's Lady by Morgan Jane Mitchell - 4 1/2 stars

Audiobook:

Lake Bride by Shanna Hatfield - 4 1/2 stars

Planned Reading for July 12-18

Ebooks:

Audiobook:

Well, it definitely seems a shorter list. I look forward all these books/audiobook. Stay hydrated, stay safe, and relax. Life is not meant to be sped through.

Next week, I will post my results. You can always share what you are reading. Or let me know what you do with your spare time.

La revedere (goodbye in Romanian).

Planned Reading for July 5-11 and last week's results

Good evening all,

Happy 4th of July for all my American readers.

I hope everyone is doing okay with all this extreme weather. Today made it almost to 100 degrees, though we have sunk back into the mid 80's since the sun went down. I did so so with my reading/listening this week. Somehow I keep selecting long books.

Last week's results:

Ebooks:

Rags's Awakening by Chiah Wilder - 4 stars

Tethered by the Sea by India R. Adams and Nikki Landis - 5 stars

Brooklyn Masala by Sophie Schiller - 4 stars

Audiobooks:

Lilac Bride by Shanna Hatfield - 4 1/2 stars

Drop a Gear and Disappear by Winter Travers - 4 stars

Planned for July 5-11:

Ebooks:

Audiobooks:

Well I hope to do better this week. I do have a fair amount of ARCs for this week. Three of the ebooks are less than 50 pages, which is making the list look longer. It is a good thing that I am retired. Take the time to enjoy life. Relax and enjoy the day.
