Blurb:
From USA Today Bestselling Author Morgan Jane Mitchell comes HAUNTED HARLEY
My name is Mary Shelly, and yes, I’ve always loved Halloween.
So when I move to Wicker Vale after a hell of a breakup and land a job doing makeup at the town’s famous haunted house, spending October surrounded by fake blood, screaming tourists, and things that go bump in the night feels like the perfect fresh start.
Then I meet Eric.
He’s shirtless, covered in blood, riding a Harley through the attraction, and chasing terrified customers with a chainsaw while the initials H.E. look freshly carved into his chest.
Turns out he’s playing Eric White, Wicker Vale’s most infamous ghost.
The real Eric was a Black Lantern biker murdered decades ago by his rival, Harley Easton, who carved his initials into Eric’s chest before vanishing without a trace. The murder was never solved, and locals still swear Eric’s ghost rides the back roads every October.
The man playing him certainly commits to the role.
He won’t give me his last name. He never seems to break character. And the more time I spend with him, the harder it becomes to tell where the legend ends and the man begins.
One midnight ride turns into something much hotter, and before I know it, my October fling starts feeling dangerously real.
Then Halloween ends.
And Eric disappears.
No explanation. No trace.
Only nightmares about a dead biker who seems very interested in me.
I thought I was falling for a man pretending to be Wicker Vale’s favorite ghost.
Now I’m starting to wonder if he was ever pretending at all.
๐ It’s that time again, ghouls and rebels! ๐

My Review - 5 of 5 stars -
I really, really loved this story. There were steamy, humorous, and paranormal moments. The interactions between Mary (loved her name) and Eric were so much fun, honest, and very entertaining. Mary fell in love with Wicker Vale and Eric quickly, despite Eric's vague answers to some of her questions. He knew she was special immediately and did not want to hurt her, though he had hopes that she would help him. The ghostly parts were not truly scary, and by the end, they brought tears to my eyes.
I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.
