Blurb

She wanted to arrest him. He used her cuffs first.

Twila
I’m the deputy of Paradise, a side-hustle wrestler in Hell, and the Sheriff's daughter, which means most men in Kentucky look at me like I come with headlocks and handcuffs. Not to mention a curfew and my daddy’s shotgun.
I’m tired of road checks, loose cows, and breaking up fights over who called who a heifer at the Piggly Wiggly. I want a real case.
Then more girls in Hell start going missing.
And I catch Whiskey red-handed, blood on his knuckles, and a terrified girl on his Harley. I think I’ve finally got my chance to prove myself.
Before I can arrest him, he takes me.
Now I’m trapped with the most dangerous King in Kentucky,
a tattooed biker with a filthy mouth, a record, and a softer side I never saw coming, a kid depending on him. The sexy biker is a single dad. He swears the club isn’t behind the mess.
Every mile I spend in his hands makes it harder to remember I’m supposed to hate him.
Especially when he keeps touching me like he’s already decided I belong to him.
Whiskey
Twila Dix is Sheriff Dix’s daughter, Paradise’s deputy, and a mouthy little menace with a badge and a right hook.
She saw too much on the wrong night and understood just enough to get herself killed, so I took her before Pearly Gates could.
Call it a public service if you’re feeling generous.
I’ve already got enough on my plate keeping the Kings’ secrets, staying ahead of my past, and raising my kid without a deputy from Paradise stomping through my house, my business, and under my skin.
Now Twila’s under my roof, in my clothes, and one smart remark away from finding out exactly how fast a King can turn captivity into something a whole lot filthier.
Her daddy made sure every man in town was too scared to come near her.
Lucky for me, I’ve never scared easy.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars -

I loved this story. There were a couple moments that creeped me out (can't wait to find out what is going on in the woods) as well as steamy ones, witty comebacks. Twila was a kick in the pants. She was very independent, wanted to prove herself with investigations, and had the good sense to believe some things that most wouldn't. Whiskey was so distrusting of her until he spent time with her. Their connection was strong and led to trust. Added to all this was the cute daughter of Whiskey. She was a firecracker for such a young thing. This town has a lot of issues, creepy and otherwise, and I look forward to following this MC to see how it all plays out.

I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.
