This story was full of secrets, suspicions, cult activity, missing girls, paranormal suspense, and so much more. Brittany was young and foolish and found herself under a microscope with danger following her. Oaks had taken on a debt for the club and married Bethany to keep the peace. He could not stay away from Brittany, protecting her when he felt necessary. I enjoyed the growth of Brittany as she learned to stand on her own, was willing to have what she could from Oaks, and even defended herself. Oaks was hard to figure out, but I liked how he finally stood by Brittany's side after being quick a jerk. I look forward to more in this series because I want to see how the Pearly Gates people and the paranormal creature work out.
