Poppy thought she had found her forever love but had not. Leaving behind everything, she joined her brother in another state. She encountered Smoke, and the chemistry was instant and strong. Though she was hesitant, she took a chance. Smoke knew immediately that she was his, and I loved that he did not play any games with her. He made mistakes but made up for them. With possible issues that could separate them, Poppy and Smoke had enough trust in the other to hold back on judgment. There were deep moments, weepy moments both happy and sad, and a lot of love and support. I really enjoyed this story.
