I loved Royal's restraint. He wanted to follow rules laid down by Legend, but his attraction to Becki was strong. She was using him and he knew it, but their chemistry proved to be too much for both. Becki was a little hard to take in the beginning, but her emotions and motivations began to reveal the real person inside. The two made an interesting couple, and I began rooting for them part way through. I enjoyed how the backstory held more surprises, and now I cannot wait for the next book. Such a creepy aspect to this series.
