Book Review: For Sale Baby Shoes Never Worn (Cliffside Connections #1) by Emma Hartlight

Blurb

Some treasures hold more than just memories.

Six months after tragedy made him a sudden single dad, Liam O’Connell is just going through the motions. Until a cryptic online ad—*For Sale: Vintage baby shoes, never worn*—pulls him into a charming antique shop and the world of its compassionate owner, Thea Lawson. For Thea, the past is something to be preserved, but the story behind these tiny shoes feels different—it feels personal.

Drawn together by the haunting mystery, they begin to unravel a century-old secret hidden within the heart of Cliffside—a secret belonging to one of the town's most powerful founding families. But they’re not the only ones searching. Their investigation attracts the attention of someone who will stop at nothing to keep the truth buried.

As danger closes in, their shared quest for answers deepens into an undeniable connection. They found each other through a story from the past, but can they find the courage to build a future, or will the very secrets they’re trying to unearth be the thing that tears them apart?

My Review - 4 of 5 stars -

A simple ad leads to a mystery and love. Thea inherited her grandma's antique shop and was trying to keep it going. She put out the ad which Liam saw while he was undergoing his own life-altering situation. There was an instant connection between them, but they were both hesitant. Danger followed them as they looked into the history of the baby shoes. I loved Thea's loyalty to her grandma and her love for history with regards to the pieces in the shop. Liam was a wonderful uncle to Tally and became a great parent. An interesting story.

I received a copy through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
