Book Review: Not That Orange by Bailey Adams

Blurb

A carrot gets the shock of his life when he wakes up from his nap and discovers that he is unlike the other carrots: he is green! Determined to set things straight, he enlists the help of an orange. The two pals then travel around the farm to ask the others about Carrot's "orange". However, confusion ensues as the other crops get the wrong idea. Read Not That Orange to follow Carrot's journey to self-confidence and individuality.

Bailey Adams is an up-and-coming author and literacy interventionist from Metro Detroit. As a child, she often had her nose in a book or a pencil in her hand while she created countless fiction stories. Bailey's passion for literacy flourished as she grew up; she studied Elementary Education during her undergraduate career at Oakland University and later received her MAT in Reading & Language Arts. She hopes to foster confidence in her young readers as they peruse the pages of Not That Orange! When Bailey isn't writing, she enjoys cuddling her cats on the couch, singing, and traveling with her husband.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars -

This was a cute story with brightly colored illustrations. The lessons were about acceptance of differences, and that it was okay to be different. It truly was a quick and fun read.

I received a copy through RABT Book Tours, and this is my unsolicited review.
