I loved this story even though Layla and Victor did not get an HEA. I enjoyed Layla's spirit, determination, and ability to keep her job separate from her marriage. Victor tried to keep his professional life separate as well, but the secrets between them were too much. They did have a steamy connection, but the happiness together became strained and that also disappeared. An entertaining beginning to a new series. I look forward to book one.
