Blurb:
I’ve been dead for ten years.
That’s what the world believes.
That’s what Victoria Cross believes.
She walks into Echo Base furious, wounded, and hunted by the Committee I’ve been dismantling from the shadows. She looks at me like I betrayed her.
I let her think I was executed.
I let her grieve me.
Because staying dead kept her alive.
Now the Committee has destroyed her network and marked her for death. Kane orders us to work together, and I don’t hesitate. Walking away was never an option not when I’d burn the world to protect her.
Every mission strips away control.
The chemistry is still dangerous.
The trust is broken.
And the enemy is closing in.
Victoria wants blood.
I want strategy.
But vendetta doesn’t care who survives.
If we make it out alive, I’ll have to prove I’m not disappearing again and decide if a second chance with the woman I never stopped loving is worth the war it will cost.

My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -
4 1/2 stars for me. I did really enjoy Victoria and Roman's reunion and the work they put into getting to know each other again despite the anger. Roman tried to be patient and follow Victoria's rules for their interactions. Quite a business vibe. When they connected, it was steamy. Danger was ahead and all around them. I felt just as celebratory when their plans came to fruition. A good story and series.
I received a copy through BookSirens, and this is my unsolicited review.
