Ebook Review: Echo: Run (The Men of Echo Ridge #5) by Delta James

Blurb

I came back from the dead to stop a traitor…and to face the woman I broke.

Going dark was the only way to save Echo Ridge.

It just cost me the woman I loved.

Two years undercover inside the Committee meant no contact, no messages, no mistakes. I completed the mission. I exposed the breach. I survived.

Sarah Andrews didn’t.

Not really.

When I surface and join Echo Ridge, she’s ice-cold, razor-sharp, and done with me. She thinks I abandoned her when she was wounded and alone. When her brother vanished and everything fell apart.

I’d tell her the truth if I could. But some secrets still get people killed.

Then I discover the impossible, someone has been feeding operational intelligence to the Committee. Echo Base is compromised, and if we alert the wrong person, the traitor disappears…and the team dies.

Sarah is the only one I trust to help me stop it.

Forced to work together, the past collides with the present anger, guilt, and the love we never finished tearing apart. I made the right call once.

This time, I won’t lose her again.

My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -

4 1/2 stars for me. I enjoyed this story with the ups and downs with Sarah and Micah. They had such a sweet beginning, work and personally. Both ended up at Echo Ridge after Micah came out of deep cover and Sarah survived a kidnapping, brutality, and then trying to find her brother. The chemistry between them was still there, though they had to open up about their true feelings to move forward. Using their talents, they worked to keep the Committee from finding their location. I would have preferred a little less of the technical jargon as often as it showed up, but overall, this was a good story. I look forward to the next in the series.

I received a copy through BookSirens, and this is my unsolicited review.
