Blurb:
Some missions protect the world. This one protects my family.
I walked away from Rachel Donovan eight years ago, thinking distance would keep her safe.
I was wrong.
Her son just witnessed a Committee execution, and now they’re hunting them both. Protecting them is the mission… but the moment Rachel opens the door, I know it’s more than that.
I’ll hold the line.
I’ll hold Lucas safe.
And this time, I’m not letting her go.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars -
I found this to be intense. I had to keep turning the pages to see how all the parts came together. Rachel was so strong, a loving and protective mother, though she had her moments of doubt. I loved that she was willing to trust her rescuers and beyond, to learn some self-defense, and trying to maintain some semblance of truth with her son. Colton deeply regretted his decision to leave her when they were younger, though his justification seemed sound to him. He accepted the chance to rectify their situation. I really enjoyed this story.
I received an ARC through Booksirens, and this is my unsolicited review.
