Blurb:
After her mother’s unexpected death, Savannah "Ava" Smythe inherits three things: guardianship of her teenage sister, a house with an upside-down mortgage, and an illegal debt to a loan shark. Any thoughts of going to the police are dashed when the seedy loan shark threatens Savannah and her sister.
In desperate need of fast cash, Savannah lands a job performing at Platinum’s Gentleman’s Club, but she never expected to find her best friend’s brother working security there.
Ted “Puncture” Chisholm loves his job. There’s only one rule: no fraternizing with the dancers. Not a problem, until he learns their newest dancer is his sister’s best friend. He doesn’t know why she’s dancing, but it isn’t his place to stop her.
When Savannah is brutally assaulted in the parking lot, everything changes.
Punc is eaten by guilt and insists on helping her recover.
In the process, he discovers there’s more going on in Savannah’s life.
He also learns his sister’s sweet friend has a will of steel and a sassy attitude that appeals to him much more than it should. He’s determined to solve Savannah’s problems while taking the next step with her. It could cost him his job, but it might also risk his life. For Savannah, he’ll risk everything to make her his.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars -
This story kept me interested until the end. Savannah was doing everything to keep her sister's life stable, including taking a second job that everyone told her not to. With danger breathing down her neck, she caught the attention of Puncture. Their history brought out the protector in Punc, and he did everything he could to keep her safe. I loved that connection between them, the chemistry, and the consideration of those around them before committing to each other. Punc gave her more strength and support to stand up for her sister and herself. Loved it.
This is my unsolicited review.
