Book Review: Mike (The Firefighters of Station of #8, book 1) by S.R. Wyatt

Blurb:

Mike Armstrong puts his life on the line every day but he doesn’t like being called a hero. Fighting fires is his job. It’s in his blood. A profession that has made him a confirmed bachelor—until a certain female lights a fire under his skin.

Cassie Peters spends her days teaching children and her nights dreaming of Mr. Right. Shy and self-conscious of her curvaceous body, she keeps men at a distance—until she meets the sexy firefighter who keeps her awake at night.

Passions soar and desires burn hot, yet each is afraid to surrender to love. Together, they overcome their fear of rejection, completely unaware there is a more dangerous peril. A thirst for vengeance threatens the firefighters of Station #8 placing Mike and Cassie directly in the line of fire.

My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -

4 1/2 stars. The heat between Cassie and Mike was there at the beginning of their first glance. I enjoyed how Cassie took his job in stride, was willing to give into the chemistry, and how connected she was to her friend, Tammy. Mike had not been looking for anything or anyone, but he could not stop thinking about Cassie. He was very caring, gentle, a hero (though he did not want to be thought of that way). Very swoon worthy. Their connection grew stronger as danger found its way into Station #8 and their lives. Family, friend, and coworker connections also grew and healed added to the love story.

I received a copy through RABT Book Tours, and this is my unsolicited review.
