Blurb:
I was a walking red flag, but that skeleton-masked man was mine.
I always knew I was different—my obsession with catching Deadwater’s murderer with my Skeleton Girls Detective Agency, my hunger to hunt predators with my steel sharp and my manicure perfect.
And now, my dangerous instalove for the skeleton crew’s new recruit.
Riordan, with his tousled dark hair and striking green eyes, would be wise to run far from me. But it was infatuation at first sight, and there’s nothing I won’t do to keep him close. Even if it means risking everything.
Yet love isn't simple for someone like me. If Riordan dared to love me back, the scars of my past could surface, and in the chaos, I might become his greatest threat. Until then, I’m ready to help him take down his enemies, to share his battle and make Riordan's revenge my own.
But the murderer still haunts the city, and whatever happiness we find together is under threat.
How can I keep us both safe when the next name on the killer’s list is mine?

My Review - 4 of 5 stars -
I loved how Cassie claimed Riordan as hers from the start. She went about it in an unorthodox way. I enjoyed all the firsts for these two. Danger was still around, but they worked out their feelings, their love, their need for each other. It was wonderful to meet all of the characters from the Dark Island Scots again and watch how they protected Cassie along with accepting Riordan. When the murderer was truly found, I felt vindicated in my belief as to who it could be. I did doubt myself occasionally though. This was an interesting, dark romantic series with a suspenseful element.
I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.
