Sarafina was a firecracker. She was very determined to get her way, willing to do the hard work, and caring enough to have others follow her. Nye thought he was ruthless, until he met Sarafina. He was willing to give up her love and his happiness multiple times. Danger from the high seas, his father, and her intended gave a lot to move the plot along. I enjoyed the story.
