Blurb:
Hannah Huntsford has been looking forward to Christmas all year.
Then a murder turns her sleepy small town of Treasure Trove, Georgia, upside down.
The victim is Alexander Jefferson, a cutthroat local investment broker who was deep in the throes of a midlife crisis.
Alexander was estranged from his family and had made a number of enemies at work.
In addition, he was shot at point blank range in the doorway of his suburban home while most of the town's residents were busy watching a holiday fireworks show.
With little in the way of clues, but plenty of potential suspects to interview, police detective Tyler O'Connor has his hands full.
But the detective isn't working this case alone.
Hannah is determined to use her private eye skills to help her detective boyfriend catch the killer and salvage what is left of the Christmas season.
As an added wrinkle, one of Hannah's friends finds an incredibly cute dog and begins to care for it, only to discover the pup has a heartbreaking backstory that might hold the secret to solving this baffling mystery.
Can the investigators bring the murderer to justice, or will the case go cold?

My Review - 4 of 5 stars -
A new Hannah Huntsford mystery. I enjoyed the growing relationship between Hannah and Tyler, their love getting stronger, as well as the friendships with current friends and past victims. The mystery posed a bit of a problem for them until suspects were taken off the list. The victim's dog brought a little clarity and forced a confession. I have enjoyed this series as well as this story.
I received this story as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
