Blurb:
The first time I met Murphy, the goalie of the Coyotes hockey team, I thought he was the most attractive man I’d ever seen.
The second time, we shared a wild night and I never planned to see him again.
Imagine my surprise when I showed up for a work meeting only to find out Murphy was my new client.
He needed a bodyguard to pose as his live-in girlfriend, and I was perfect for the job.
And now I’ve discovered living together in such close proximity comes with its own set of challenges… The man never wears a shirt. Or pants.
The more I fight to keep things professional between us, the more he struts around in his boxer briefs trying to tempt me.
It turns out guarding the goalie may be easy.
But resisting him is damn near impossible.
This is a standalone feel good low angst fake relationship hockey romcom where the swoony goalie instantly falls for the not so enamored spitfire heroine.
Tropes:
She works for him
Forced Proximity
Opposites Attract
Fake Relationship
He Falls First
Combustible Chemistry

My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -
4 1/2 stars for this one. I enjoyed the journey for both Wendy and Jack Murphy. Wendy was independent, took a chance to start her own business, had time for her friends, and was very caring. Murphy was good at what he did, loyal to his friends and teammates, intelligent, and fun loving. I loved his dog, Mayer, and how he doted on him. Trouble came into Murphy's world, and surprisingly, he found Wendy to be his defender. With a little action, some steamy scenes, lots of friendship, these two found an HEA they deserved.
I received a copy of this story through Enticing Journey Book Promotions, and this is my unsolicited review.
