Audiobook Review: Stay with Me (Dangerous Obsession #1) by Nikki Sloane, narrators June deBorahae, Ryan Hudson, and Chris Merlin

Blurb

When the spotlight turns deadly, survival becomes the performance of her life.

A single gunshot rings out, shattering Laurel Hayward’s debut as a professional dancer—and witnessing an assassination is only the beginning of her nightmare. The ruthless killer will stop at nothing to find her—determined to possess her or silence her forever.

Enter Deputy U.S. Marshal Jason Dunn: handsome, confident, and far too good at getting under Laurel’s skin. Keeping her alive is his job, but keeping his distance? Impossible. Alone in the secluded safe house, the line between duty and desire blurs into something too powerful to resist.

Laurel needs Jason to survive. Jason needs her to finally capture the ghost who’s haunted his career for years. But as their attraction ignites, the obsessed killer returns with a deadly final act . . .

And it could cost them everything.

My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -

4 1/2 stars. Laurel witnessed an assassination and got caught up in one man's obsession. Jason tried to protect her and stay professional, but the flame between them burned bright. He almost lost his job, but circumstances put a different plan in motion. Jason wanted to protect Laurel, and I loved how gruff he tried to be but softened for her. Laurel was able to face a lot of violence, yet could take action. The last bit of the story was entertaining even though I knew what was truly happening.
The narrators (June deBorahae, Ryan Hudson, Chris Merlin) did a great job. They had me feeling the emotions as well as the story.

I received an audiobook through Valentine PR, and this is my unsolicited review.
