My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -

The Long Paw of the Law -

Book 1 - 4 stars - This was a fun listen. The story began by introducing all the possible suspects, connections, and the victim. There were many fingers pointing in different directions with all of the different personalities. I enjoyed how Ashley stepped up to prove the police had the wrong suspect. She was observant, intelligent, loyal, and fun. Her fledgling infatuation with the police detective added a personal note to her growth. The narration by Meghan McConnell enhanced the story and was interesting to listen to.

Book 2 - 4 stars - Another good story. Ashley worked hard to get her catering business up and successful, only to have another murder in her small town. She was tenacious and astute, and a bit nosy. Even when her boyfriend asked her to step back, she needed to prove the main suspect was innocent. With a few twists and turns, overheard conversations, and confrontations, Ashley succeeded in finding the true killer. The narration by Meghan McConnell enhanced the ups and downs of this story, every clue as it presented itself. Well worth the story and listen.

Book 3 - 5 stars - This story was full of twists and turns, past and present tied together. Ashley found an old article that captured her interest. As the story progressed, the danger found her family and her cat. Now with it being personal, she and Sean worked to solve the murders, past and present.

The narration by Meghan McConnell kept me listening to the story. Her characterizations were wonderful.

Book 4 - 4 stars - Another good one in this series. This time Ashley and Sean were on vacation and found themselves in a murder case. The history of the Native American tribes and rituals added to the story. Danger had Ashley struggling on her own for a bit and worried about Sean and his disappearance. Receiving support from the tribe made it possible for a happy ending, capture of the murderers, and reunion of Sean and Ashley.

The narration by Meghan McConnell was wonderful. She kept enthusiasm and emotion in the story, allowing me to sense the feelings of the characters. I enjoyed it.

Book 5 - 4 stars - At last, the wedding between Ashley and Sean had arrived. Despite their happiness, trouble was brewing around them. They tried to stay out of it, even though they knew some of the people involved (murder victim and suspects). Ashley could not quite keep from helping, bringing danger in their direction, but she was tenacious, wanting this mystery resolved. Sean even joined in. Enjoyed it.

Meghan McConnell did another wonderful job beginning the story to life, making it that much more enjoyable.

Book 6 - 5 stars - I very much enjoyed this story and have been enjoying the series. There were many twists and turns with this one. A crime from the past continued into the present with deadly consequences. Ashley and Sean became involved, once again bringing danger to their doorstep. I loved how Ashley's mind followed the clues, even knowing when to back off that little bit, but she never gave up. Sean was a great support to his wife.

Again, I also enjoyed the narration by Meghan McConnell. She had a way of making me picture the action.
