Brody was not in the place he thought he wanted to be. He was loyal to his family but desired something more. Into his life came Hannah. She surprised him with her adventurous spirit, tamping down the city-girl. I loved Hannah as she discovered a lot about her past in this little casita on a huge piece of property which Brody's family wanted. The ups and downs of their relationship were entertaining and a little heart-breaking. A good story.

4 1/2 stars. I enjoyed this story. Lavinia took her future into her own hands, running away to prevent a marriage she did not want. Her escape was aided by her friend and led her to Oliver. He had no plans on getting married despite his mother's wishes and machinations until Lavinia arrived. Their connection changed both of their conceptions of love and marriage. A slow start to this story continued to a faster pace and a wonderful couple in love.

This had the look and feel of a comic book. It was a bit gruesome towards the end, but the message was a strong one, showing faith can give on strength to face or deal with anything. The illustrations were beautiful, anime style.

I really enjoyed this story. I loved Whitney's fierceness, determination, and intelligence. She had wanted to arrest Mensa, but as she came to know him, she realized that he was not that bad. Mensa was very protective and possessive of Whitney, and he definitely treated her like a queen. His ability to be easily annoyed with her but ability to keep it mostly inside was quite a feat. Their connection, the heat generated between them, and the love made this a wonderful, gritty story.

I enjoyed this introduction to the Valkyrie MC. It started with a run and kept going. Amelia/Medusa had created her "found" family, and they were a tight-knit group, supporting each other. She was strong and independent, caring and strict when needed. Then Noah showed up, and they had an instant connection. There was plenty of steam between them but a lot of caring and touching moments as well. They were a strong couple despite all the danger, destruction, and death around them. Revenge could be sweet, but it could also hurt. A good story.
