Blurb:
Death before dishonor.
It’s the most important rule and the easiest to break.
Riding with the Knightdale Charter isn't my first choice.
But home is where you go when you leave your heart in a pine box.
Grief is like a magnet, and I'm surrounded by shadows.
Living life among the darkness, just like her.
She's buried an even bigger piece of herself than I have.
And all she wants is to finally find the light.
If we had any sense at all, we'd steer clear of each other.
But I'd rather feel anything than nothing at all.
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust.
When is it love and not just lust?
Don't ask me.
I'm a disgrace no matter what.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars -
Redemption, self-worth, and brotherhood made up most of this story. I loved how Shady never truly gave up on the love of his life, how he bordered on hate but was willing to see beyond that to find the truth. He was so protective. Bianca was such a broken woman, and we never knew how much until this book. I had tears in my eyes frequently as I rooted for this woman to achieve her peace of mind. The back and forth of feelings between the MC brothers about this relationship was interesting to watch. This was definitely a page-turner for me, and I highly recommend it if you enjoy MC romances.
Read the book a couple years ago and had a chance to listen to the audiobook. Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson did a wonderful job giving life to these characters. I love the duet style and enjoyed listening to these two. I still recommend this story, whether ebook or audiobook.
