This was book one in the duet. Such a strong love but at the wrong time. Lies and misunderstandings pulled them apart. Ameline and Gabe had quite the chemistry but not the maturity. With Ameline's health issues and lack of support, Gabe proposed marriage which they rushed before her surgery. The ending left me wondering how they would come back together. Both characters were wonderful, and the story kept me listening.
The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca enhanced the story. I loved the duet narration throughout the audiobook as their voices seemed to complement each other and showed all the emotion in this story.
I highly recommend the story and the audiobook. This is my unsolicited review.
