Wow! I did not want to put this down. The chemistry and history between Holly and Maverick was intense. I loved Holly's drive to move on, yet not let go of the past, her love for her second husband and all three of her children, and how she accepted Maverick's MC life as it was. Maverick was very determined to stay connected to his children, defend and protective the MC and his family, and he wanted to be a better man. There was a lot of action, and I enjoyed the other members of the MC so much that I am looking forward to the next book.
I read the book in 2021, and now I had an opportunity to listen to the audiobook. I must say that Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson did a fantastic job bringing this story to life. I loved the duet style, and they brought the emotions out of each character.
