My Review - 5 of 5 stars -
I really enjoyed this story. It began with an interesting meet between Araminta and Darius with the aid of a pet goose. I loved Araminta because of the loyalty to her family, her willingness to work hard to support that family, her strength in taking a chance with her secret life, and the caring for all in her town. Darius was determined to succeed in his new venture, owning a bookshop. He was a bit grumpy, a little shallow, yet polite and caring. I enjoyed the interactions with his brother and the witty conversation with Araminta. He accepted Araminta for who she was and for helping him see more clearly and deeper.
I received an ARC, and this is my unsolicited review.
