Blurb:
A night with a vigilante biker wasn’t my wisest choice.
I can’t resist the cocky motorcycle man, even though Block is old enough to be my father. He said he didn’t do commitments, which made it the perfect night of fun.
Except afterward, nobody else appeals to me.
Block shows up weeks later, and I break my one-time-only rule. I won’t fall for his arrogant smile and burly, tattooed build. It’s one last night to get him out of my system. Neither of us wants a relationship. Every wicked thing he does to me feels different - like it could be the real thing.
When a threat lands on my doorstep, one final night with Block becomes a three-day-weekend. He insists on helping me resolve my problems which only brings us closer together.
The day after our weekend together, I find out he’s my new boss.
Life always shoots me down and being with Block is no different.
Problem is, Block thinks we can be an exception.
I don’t want to be an exception. We should quit while we can.
If you love a sassy heroine, one-night-to-forever romance, and an alpha hero who sees what he wants and won’t let go, then you’ll love Block’s Road.

Excerpt:
“What’s really buggin’ you, Heidi?”
“Just… this is so unexpected. And, you’re not going to be able to keep up with me when I’m in my thirties.”
He rolled so his front was to my side. “You’re twenty-six, almost twenty-seven. I’ll be forty-three in December. That means you hit thirty, I’ll be forty-seven. I’m keeping up with you now, I can’t imagine I can’t keep up with you in three years. Or ten more years.”
“You’re still older than me.”
“Doesn’t mean shit.”
“It will… when you start referencing Foreigner and shit.”
He laughed. “You’re the one who just brought up that group. I don’t listen to my dad’s classic rock. Nothin’ wrong with it, but I’m all about metal, alternative, and a hint of country.”
My lips twisted to the side. “I guess we’re kind of sympatico on that. I’m not big on metal, but I love Ozzy and Metallica, so I’m sure I can get down with your metal.”
He grinned and shook his head. “Honey, it’s not like I’m asking you to go to Vegas and get married. Though you in Vegas would be a sight to see.”
My brows drew together. “How is that any different than Biloxi?”
Those brilliant baby-blues widened. “Have you been there? Better pools, no humidity - which definitely makes it better – better food, but I won’t need it. The best eating is right here.”
He nipped at my breast, I clutched the sheets with a hiss. “Yes. Do that again. Damn.”
He kissed it. “Nope. Gotta stay focused. Maybe later.” He shifted up. “Seriously, Heidi, the only problem I see for us, is if you want kids and when you want to have those kids.”
My head tilted. “Planning ahead much?”
He shrugged. “I meant what I said in the hot tub. Ride this out with me. Neither of us knows where the road’s gonna take us, but I know we’d be fools not to take this road together.”
“Fine,” I whispered. “But you know you’re contradicting yourself.”
“How’s that?”
“You’re not asking me to marry you, but our biggest problem will be having kids. That’s sheer craziness!”
He did a non-committal nod. “You’re right, but all that shit is way down the road. Now… who would slash your tires?”
I shook my head. "Let me check my neck, man. That subject change could cause whiplash."
His lips formed a fake grin. “Har texted, says you won’t be up and running until Tuesday evening at the earliest. He’s having a hard time gettin’ four tires in because of the holiday weekend. You got an ex who might have done this shit?”
I frowned and looked away. “No exes,” I turned back to him. “This is why we should have stayed in town. I need to report this to the authorities.”
He arched up and settled his weight on me fully. “No authorities, Heidz.”
“What?”
“You with me on this road?”
I wanted to say no, but every ounce of me knew better. If I shoved Block away, I’d regret it for the rest of my life. I knew that much for certain.
“Yeah…though neither of us knows how long that’s gonna last.”
His eyes turned steely. “Well, it’s damn well gonna last long enough to deal with this bullshit. And if you’re with me… sweetheart, I don’t call the authorities. I am the authority on eliminating the assholes who fuck with you.”

Author Bio:
Karen Renee is the author of the Riot Motorcycle Club, Beta, and O-Town series of books. She once crunched Nielsen ratings data but these days she brings her imagination to life by writing books. She has wanted to be a writer since she was very young, but it's taken the last twenty plus years for her to amass enough courage and overall life experience to bring that dream to life. Some of those life experiences came from the wonderful world of advertising, banking, and local television media research. She is a proud wife and mother, and a Jacksonville native. When she's not at the soccer field or cooking, you can find her at her local library, the grocery store, in her car jamming out to some tunes, or hibernating while she writes and/or reads books.
