Definitely a gritty tale. I enjoyed Jules and Q. He was so protective and understanding once he knew her story. Jules wanted to move beyond her past, but it took finding Q to do that. There were what I would call trigger scenes for some people, but there was an HEA, a healing from the past. Danger was introduced to the MC, and I can't wait for the next book to see how it plays out. Dark but entertaining story.
