My Review - 5 of 5 stars - 

This was a wonderful story. Signy was so sweet and caring, even though her mother tried to make her a harder person. She was also walking a fine line between being fully honest and secretive. Viggo was angry as he could not see and felt less than a man. He still wanted to help Signy conceive and be a stronger person to stand up to her mother. Their hearts became entangled, Signy admitting it first. Viggo came to his senses when facing death, and confessed his love. There were more clues about the history of this island and its tragic circumstances.

The narration by Gareth J Davies was, once again, a wonderful job, bringing all these characters to life. I enjoyed listening.

My Review - 4 of 5 stars - 

I loved how Cassie claimed Riordan as hers from the start. She went about it in an unorthodox way. I enjoyed all the firsts for these two. Danger was still around, but they worked out their feelings, their love, their need for each other. It was wonderful to meet all of the characters from the Dark Island Scots again and watch how they protected Cassie along with accepting Riordan. When the murderer was truly found, I felt vindicated in my belief as to who it could be. I did doubt myself occasionally though. This was an interesting, dark romantic series with a suspenseful element.

I had a chance to listen to the audiobook, and I enjoyed it. The talented Shane East, Zara Hampton-Brown, Allie Rose, and Lucas Webley enhanced the story, and I found a couple things that I missed when reading.

I loved Roxina and how she tried to be independent and how caring she was. She never questioned where the monetary support came from, just was glad it helped increase her earnings. Shelby made sure that Roxina was safe even while he was trying to clear his name. Danger was never far away and added to the excitement of the story. Their journey was worth the read.

I found this a fun and hard-to-put-down story. Penelope was so independent and intelligent, and willing to help five young ladies enjoy life and prepare for their season. Henry wanted to ready his cousins for marriage, but he wasn't sure Penelope was the best person. As he accompanied the ladies, his heart realized what a treasure Penelope was. I loved their journey to love, enjoyed the witty banter between the cousins, Penelope, and Henry. Well worth the read.

A bit of a slow start, but then it kept me turning pages. It was an emotional ride. Prim had such self-doubt that she had trouble taking a chance. Chase was so wrapped up in his tragic past that he almost let her slip through his fingers. A childhood love finally came to fruition, and I loved the journey for them.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars - 

I was pulled into this story from the beginning. I enjoyed Tiffany despite her self-doubts and loved Gregory for showing her how strong she could be. With a bit of spice in their relationship, I felt they were quite compatible and loved the quick connection. How the other Dukes and people of import around them carried themselves added to the story. Add on top of that, there was the mystery regarding the deaths of the Dukes' fathers. I look forward to the next in this series.

My Review - 5 of 5 stars - 

I was caught up in this story from the beginning. The connection between them was strong even though they put it off for their own reasons. Rebel was rebuilding herself to overcome her past, but she kept it to herself. I loved her determination and willingness to trust the MC and Heron. His patience with her and the situation earned him my heart. Their journey, her past coming back, revelations, and more had me turning the pages. I enjoyed this story and recommend it as well as the series.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I'll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died - weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn't have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It's everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness - it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn't a time she wasn't there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It's its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn't be here today without her.
