Blurb:
I don’t believe in miracles.
Ever since she was taken.
She was simply gone, and it changed who I am as a man.
But as the years passed, the trail grew colder. I joined the club to help in my search, but what I wasn’t expecting was to meet someone new.
Lani’s funny, outgoing, absolutely beautiful.
But I have reservations.
The problem is—I’m waiting for that miracle.
But am I missing out on something amazing because I’m holding back?
Just as I let myself be open with Lani, my father shows up with that blast from the past, opening every old wound I thought I had closed.
But she brings with her the eight years of trouble.
I want to help her, to protect her.
But will the cost to save one end up with me losing the one?

My Review - 4 1/2 of 5 stars -
4 1/2 stars. I enjoyed this story. It had some really gritty moments, steamy moments, and teary moments. I loved Lani and her wish to trust Grit and his feelings. She went through hell but remained in love and positive. Grit had so much guilt that he almost lost the most important thing for his future. There were losses, but in the end, the family, love, and support brought about a happier ending. I highly recommend this book.
I received a copy of this story through the Hatters Services, and this is my unsolicited review.
